Within the past few months, I've discovered a few blogs that use the same template as mine (sob). It's a template I've grown to love and have spent countless hours customizing. I've branded Jenn's Bookshelf around this template. It's to be expected, I suppose, given it is a free (and fabulous) template!
But, the time has come for me to change it and personalize it a bit more, create something that is truly mine. So, in the next few weeks, Jenn's Bookshelf will have a completely new look. At the same time, I will switch to self-hosting. It make sense to make all these big changes at one time.
Thank you to all of those that have complimented the look of Jenn's Bookshelf! I hope you all will be just as happy, if not more, when the new look is unveiled.

I'm going to try to switch to self-hosting and a new template this weekend or next weekend. I'm nervous, but also sort of excited. I hope things go well for you :)

Good luck - I know it's gonna be great when you're done. Luckily my templates not one that folks can get. It's my own photo and a lot of customization to a really simple template. I like that it's got things that make it unique. I'm sure you'll love having yours be "Just Jenn's". It's a lot of work, but the payoff is good. Have fun.

I'm sure it's going to be wonderful! Although there were some bumps along the way, I'm so glad that I had my blog professionally designed and moved to a self-hosted solution. You're going to love it!

Designing a layout is one of my favorite parts of blogging! You'll feel so accomplished and soooo satisfied once you have something personal and finished!

I thought about self hosting too but I don't want anything to go wrong! I'm comfortable with what I have.
I am in the works to get a customized layout though. I can't wait to get started! :)
Good luck with the transition, Jenn! I do love this template (I believe I was one of the ones to compliment it awhile back!) but you're right that a few other blogs have picked it up. I can't wait to see what you come up with. I expect it will be lovely!

Jenn, I'm getting ready to do the same thing myself to one of my blogs. I've been talking to a lady who is going to do this for me. Are you doing it yourself?
